So after about a week of headaches and impediments. I finally completed by create of a top-of-line Windows Vista (domiciliate Premium) system. Dual Core Intel 2.4 (E6600)2 GB Ballistix RAMNvidia 8800 GTS 320MB500 GB RAID-1 storage6.1 adjoin Creative Audigy Sound Card22in Samsung LCD 1680 x 1050Wireless Desktop Elite (Microsoft)ATI HDTV query PCI cardPretty sweet right? I brought the HDTV Wonder over from my last two system builds (its been with me for years now). Unfortunately its now just about crippled. Im new to Windows Vista as well as Media Center (which is included with Home Premium version of Vista). Am I completely out of luck with my ATI HDTV query? Where I be. I get ZERO reception for Over the Air HD signals so I was hoping just to use my analog cable. Media bear on wont take my analog signal?!?! WTF?!I downloaded SageTV to make sure (because stupid ATI has no version of MMC for Vista) my separate was working and it works book. All you Windows Media Center people; are you all using just antenna? Will Media bear on take an analog signal? Im paying for stupid cable but I cant use it with my new PC?Is there a PCI card out there that works? Does it HAVE to be CableCard? This sucks! I was looking forward to watching TV on my new Vista system and personally I think SageTV looks desire egest.

But don't I have that covered with the HDTV Wonder? It has two ports one for HDTV Over the air and the other for analog cable
The HDTV Wonder's analog administer is software encoded not hardware... There is a hack out there to have it work. They are called the. Not sure how the picture quality ordain be but it should bring home the bacon. I would recommend backing up your computer just in inspect.
Not MCE 2005 related but Vista MCE related.... I was playing around and installed Vista on another mahcine that had a ATI HDTV query. Doing all the windows updates for drivers I was supprised to see that the analog align of the HDTV wonder showed up as a option in the TV setup under Vista MCE. I didn't use it but did use the HDTV align. Another side say the HDTV wonder even though MS had drivers up on thier place (and ATI doesnt) through update is not officially supported in Vista MCE...? It works but I do sight the ehreceiver move keeps failing and I get nags about the HDTV wonder not officially being supported.

the analog wasnt showing up for me in Media center. Did you do an upgrade vista install or a fresh install?
I did a fresh install initially the DTV part didnt show up just the analog then later I went to the device manager and updated the drivers and got it workign with the MS provided ones.
You have a nice system except the hdtvwonder and the ms wireless move are two of the worst products in their respective classes unfortunately. Return the hdtvw if you can. Though I can understand you probably wont. Around here it's called the hdtv breach google that name... It is a 1st gen tuner with horrible reception too my 2 cents...
ATI has not announced any plans to support the analog tuners on Vista on any of its cards that do not have hardware encoder chips. ATI did create verbally software encoders for some of these tuners that worked on XP but these encoders do not bring home the bacon on Vista.

over the years. I undergo installed that card in three different systems and it has only ever worked in one of them. I tried the KRAM drivers and all that did was mess up Vista to the point where it doesn't change surface know what the HDTV query is and cannot lay any drivers. I'm going to Frys after work today and picking up a Avermedia separate
I am thinking of buying a new pc with Vista home premium and the The ATI Theater 650 PRO analog/digital tuner separate built in. I am curious as to if this works with the Xbox 360 for streaming recorded over the air HDTV? I currently have a HDTV wonder with XP and my 360 working just book for recording OTA HD shows. With Vista ordain everything work similar?Sorry if I.
